Step 1. Find the filter cover on the back wall at the top right corner inside the refrigerator. Pull the tab at the bottom of the cover toward you to release it. The cover will slide downward once released.
Note: You may remove the top shelf if additional working space is needed.
Step 2. Hold the base of the filter firmly and pull it toward you slightly, then rotate the filter counterclockwise 90 degrees.
Step 3. Pull the filter outward to remove it from the filter head and discard the old filter. If the filter feels difficult to remove, try dispensing water briefly before removal. A small amount of dripping water after removal is normal.
Step 4. Remove the plastic wrapping from the new filter. Align the filter properly and insert it into the filter head.
Step 5. Push the filter firmly into the filter head, then rotate it clockwise 90 degrees until it locks into place. If the filter does not rotate properly, check the alignment and ensure the filter is fully inserted before turning.
The filter must rotate fully to allow water to flow correctly.
Step 6. Push the entire filter assembly back into the bracket. Lift the cover upward and secure it into the slots until it clicks firmly into place.
Important
After installation, the new water filter should always be flushed thoroughly before normal use.
Step 1. Locate the filter hatch between the produce bins and lift the hatch to access the filter tool.
Step 2. Turn the filter tool counterclockwise 90 degrees to the unlock position. Pull the filter out from the housing and discard the old filter.
Step 3. Remove the plastic wrapping from the new filter. Align the filter correctly and insert it into the housing until the tool sits flush in the unlock position.
Step 4. Push the filter firmly inward and rotate it clockwise 90 degrees into the locked position. Proper rotation is necessary to restore water flow. If the filter does not turn easily, ensure it is correctly aligned and fully inserted.
Finally, close the filter hatch securely.
This filter does not reauire to shut off the water, However, it is recommended to turn off the water valve to de-pressurize if customers have difficulties removing the old existing filter or installing the new filter.
