I had been buying a different brand of filter for my LG refrigerator. The water tasted terrible and things were floating in the water. I hadn’t even been using the water and ice in my refrigerator. I finally decided to order a different filter and what a difference! I am so very happy now!

I know repair sites recommend changing the water filter because of low water pressure. My water dispenser had a strong flow, but my refrigerator was producing very little ice. Therefore, I believed the water filter was not the problem, and assumed a problem with the ice maker. After installing this filter, the ice production is back to normal. So vital in my 100 degree climate. I had previously used filters from the big box home improvement store that was 1/2 the price of OEM filter. This filter is about 1/5 the price of OEM filter. The specs on the big box filter and this Pureplus filter are exactly the same. Filter was easier to install, and had a very positive “lock” to know it is securely installed. After installation, I drained about 2 gallons from my water dispenser to get clear water, instead of the recommended 5 gallons. Even if the filter only lasts 1/2 as long, I would buy it again.

We just got a new fridge that has in unit water, the factory filter did not have the water tasting fresh and clean (I could still taste the chlorine from the city water supply). I took a chance after reading the reviews and ordered this filter. I have been pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this does! My hubby is even drinking more water!! We have stopped purchasing the cases upon cases of bottled water. If you are on the fence about which filter to get, I say give this one a shot, you will not be sorry!!!
