Our filter is designed for Municipal Tap Cold Water. If using well water, please make sure the feed water has been through a pre-fltration system, otherwise, large particles in well water will clog the filter easily and shorten filter life.
Yes, you must replace the filter every 4 weeks or sooner if the water flow is reduced or if the water tastes change. Overused filters will degrade the filtration performance.
Please note this filter cannot reduce TDS.
Our filter cannot obviously lower the TDs value because it uses natural coconut shell activated carbon that can filter harmful substances while keeping beneficial minerals such as potassium, calcium, etc.
Yes, please soak the filter for a few minutes before using. The pitcher water filter is madefrom advanced coconut sheel actived carbon, there are less harmless activated carbonfines in the new filter. Soak and shake the filter gently to remove the less carbon fines andget good tastes.
