Installation Steps
1. Remove the old cartridge by grasping firmly and twisting counterclockwise 1/2 turn.
2. Push the new filter into the filter receptor with the turn knob vertically and turn 1/2 clockwise until it locks in place.
3. Run water from the dispenser (about 3 gallons or 5 minutes) to clear the system, prevent sputtering, and condition the new filter.
4. On models with a replacement indicator light, press and hold the RESET WATER FILTER PAD on the dispenser for 3 seconds.

The reasons for the water leaks may be the following:
1) The O-ring is not in the correct position.
2) Improper installation.

Please try to follow the steps for troubleshooting.
1) Please make sure that the black rubber rings on the top of the filter are in the groove.
2) Please try the following installation steps to reinstall it.
Installation Tips
When you insert the filter, the turn knob should be horizontal. You may need to take a little more force until you feel the filter is in position. The filter needs to be twisted/rotated for 1/4 turn until the turn knob becomes vertical again.

Please follow the following troubleshooting methods to help us determine the cause and provide you with a hassle-free solution:
1) Waterline kinked, please check and make sure the water line behind the refrigerator is in good shape.
2) Frozen waterline, water has frozen inside the water tubing and clogged the tube.
A) Please reset the top cabinet’s temperature at or slightly above 33 F and give it some time to let the ice melt.
B) Use a hairdryer blower to defrost the waterline.
3) Water dispenser failure. It could be the control board, a loose wire socket, or a malfunctioning water valve.
4) The filter is not installed in place, and the water valve at the junction of the filter head and the refrigerator fails to open. Please ensure the filter is installed in its place.
