i am using multi-stage whole-house filtration on our well. These string filters are followed by a 5 micron cartridge with activated carbon and a water softener.
I used to have to change the first stage every two weeks. These will last 6-8 weeks. They are simply amazing. And the water is clear with the second stage lasting just as long. So they do clear out the 5 micron plus particles. Where have they been these last thirty years?

Our well is 1000 ft deep and the water is very hard.
